The final practice in 2024 and Promotion Examination
Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu Setagaya branch held the kyu promotion examinations from December 19th to 24th, and had its final practice in 2024 on December 26th (Thu).
In the promotion examination, the basics (etiquette, posture, standing and sitting, shikko, ukemi and atemi), understanding, practice, and effectiveness of Hiden-Mokuroku-Ikkajo techniques, and spirit, training trakrecord and improvement, etc. were evaluated at each kyu level. As a result, a total of 15 students were promoted (excluding the examination postponed to January). All the examinees, including children, seriously faced themselves through the techniques. The confidence gained there will become their ability, and the challenges they face there will be the fuel for their next growth.
With this, we could finish all practices and events of this year safely. This year has been a fulfilling year, including the opening of the children’s class and the 5th anniversary event of the branch establishment. I would like to express sincere gratitude to students and all those involved for their support and cooperation. Next year, we, the Setagaya branch will continue to practice step by step, faithful to the basics, with aspirations and passion. Your continued support would be highly appreciated.
