Meiji Jingu Dedication Demonstration

On Culture Day, November 3rd, the Meiji Jingu dedication demonstration was held by the Japan Kobudo Promotion Society as part of the Meiji Jingu Autumn Festival. This day was overlaped with the 170th anniversary of Emperor Meiji’s birth.

For these two years, only a few traditions could dedicate demonstrations due to the pandemic, but this time, 288 people from 51 traditions from all over Japan performed demonstrations full of spirit, although it was held without spectators. Under the cloudless beautiful autumn sky, it was a day to solemnly dedicate budo and pray for peace.
